1931
Amefa founded by Eugen Hollaender in The Netherlands where razor blades are produced and sold.
1941
To meet the increasing demand, Amefa expanded with production facilities in Neede and Bocholt.
1948
Change from razor blades to table knives and cutlery.
1964
Amefa developed a new technique for silver-plating with specialist in Solingen Germany and started its own silver-plating department.
1988
In the nineties Amefa expanded considerably and grew into on of the biggest players in the international cutlery market.
2002
Amefa Premiere, a beautiful and inspiring new cutlery sub-brand, was introduced to the market, with the aim of gaining ground in the premium market sectors.
2015
Amefa launched the cutlery set Integral for people with gripping difficulties, which received a DESIGN-PLUS award and a RedDot honarable mention.
